The One Notebook Principle

This is an idea that has floated around in my head for a couple of years now. Basically it’s just an idea to document things that I’m trying for the first time and thus am likely to do badly. It probably needs a better name, but oh well.

In theory it lets me share without worrying about the imposter syndrome I’m prone to have. It may also help normalize the idea that you don’t need to be perfect or instructive about what you post on the internet. I feel like the internet requires sharing of knowledge, how tos, and self-help discussions and advice. While these are useful, I also feel like they inhibit people from sharing things they’re not perfect at or are just starting to try. Hence, Doing Things Badly as a place for beginner projects and hobbies.

Anyway, this is a short post but I just thought I’d put it out into the universe instead of letting it sit in my head. Maybe I’ll actually follow through with it someday.
